Gutter screens, covers and gutter mesh problems

Typical gutter guards can be expensive and complicated, but the biggest problem is that they angle to the outer edge of the gutter and dirty or even clean, they become a water ramp sending the water past the gutter which defeats the purpose of a gutter guard. Gutterbrush accepts rain water better than any other gutter guard because it is different.

Does GutterBrush offer small gutter guards?

Yes, GutterBrush offers 6 sizes and has very small sizes to protect even the smallest gutters and channels. GutterBrush brush gutter guard sizes range from 2.25 inch small to 8 inch large.

How do I install Small Gutterbrush?

Brush guard Installation is quick and easy, just clean the gutter and slide GutterBrush 3 foot lengths into your gutter or channel filling the whole gutter from "end to end" and leave it in the gutter for all-year clog protection. No tools, screws, or fasteners are required.

Will GutterBrush work in heavy rainfall?

Yes. GutterBrush bristles draw the water into the gutter. No other gutter guard receives water better than GutterBrush because it is different. Other gutter guards are like a shelf or a ramp sending the water past the gutter just to splash on the ground. GutterBrush says acceptance of rain water is the most important job, hence the design. Water follows the bristles into the gutter during heavy rain. Water flows through the brush and out the downspouts.

How does GutterBrush stop gutters and channels from stopping-up and clogging?

When you fill the whole gutter with GutterBrush, the brush becomes a protected flow channel so water flows between the bristles and through the gutter tpo the downspouts unobstructed. Fill the entire gutter and lay GutterBrush right straight over the downspout outlets.

Won't debris get lodged in the GutterBrush?

Sure debris will get lodged in the GutterBrush, but the gutter will not clog.

Why won't the gutter clog?

Any gutter leaves or debris pieces individually could never cause a gutter channel clog. In order for debris to be able to cause a clog, it would have too be able to clump together with other debris to create a gutter dam or a blockage across. Or another way, the debris would have to be able to clump together and create a larger clump that flows and is too big to fit out the downspout so it plugs the opening; these movements can't happen with GutterBrush, because any debris is held separated and can not float, flow or even move. The water flows between and through. Here's a link to how GutterBrush works.

What happens to the debris?

Cycles of wind and weather blow most of it over the top. Debris that is in the brush is exposed to the harmful effects of the sun, with lots of air flow all around it, so the debris dries out and cooks, decaying at a rapid pace and turning into tiny particulate matter that flows through. Every gutter is different. Here's a video of GutterBrush in a gutter after 2.5 years and a video showing GutterBrush at the 4.25 year point.

Can GutterBrush be cleaned and renewed?

Yes. It is very easy to renew and start fresh again eventually if needed. Simply remove some or all of the GutterBrush sections and bang them onto a hard surface to cause the debris to drop out. Just clean the gutter and then reinstall GutterBrush so that it can start over protecting again like new.

Is there any such thing as a maintenance free gutter guard.

No, there is no truth to the phrase "never clean your gutters again" and there is no such thing as a gutter guard out in debris that will keep flowing without maintenance work. Those who work outside on roofs and gutters, know that all gutter guards will eventually require maintenance; so get one that is easy.

What sizes are the most common residential gutters?

Most common residential gutters are 5 inch gutters. Smaller 4 inch gutters are much less common but they are out there.

I measured across the top 4 inches to the outer most edge?

If you measured across the top of your gutter from the back, out to the outermost tip and you got a 4 inch measurement, then - if you have a 4 inch k-style gutter then order the 3.25" diameter for 4 inch gutters but if you have a vinyl gutter, the shape is different and 4 inch vinyl gutters usually take our 4.25" actual diameter brush. Can GutterBrush stop gutter clogging from small debris like pine needles or maple seeds?

Yes, small debris like pine needles or maple helicopter seeds will not clog GutterBrush. Small individual pieces of debris were never a reason for clogging unless they can clump together and flow to clog. The debris can not move, clump together, create a dam, or flow to plug the downspout outlet, so the gutter will not clog. At some point down the line, all gutter guards require maintenance.
